Haven Property, we’re proud to be one of the longest-standing real estate agencies on the Sunshine Coast, with a legacy that dates back to 1969. Our deep roots in the local community have grown naturally over decades of trusted service, evolving with the region while staying true to our core values.
Our office has stood in the same location for generations, witnessing changes in ownership and branding, always with the same commitment to genuine care and outstanding results. Today, Haven Property is led by co-owners Kate Tomba, James Henley, and Matt Webster. Kate brings a particularly meaningful connection to the agency: her mother, Lorraine Cush, was a long-time owner from 1987, originally under the Professionals banner, and later rebranded the agency as Haven Property in 2012.
Now known as Haven Property, we’ve expanded our focus beyond Coolum to serve the entire Sunshine Coast. Our name may be new, but our people, passion, and professionalism remain the same.

1960s
1960s
In the late 1960s the State Deputy Opposition Leader Mr Eric Lloyd started selling real estate in the seaside village of Coolum Beach under the banner of Eric Lloyd Real Estate.
1970s
The township started growing and by the late 1970’s Eric Lloyd had built the premises “Lloyd Place” in which the Coolum Beach Real Estate office still operates.
In the same year, radio announcer Wayne (Poo) Roberts purchased the business.
1987
In 1987 Lorraine Cush became a partner and in 1990 they rebranded the business to the Professionals Coolum Beach Real Estate.
2013
The business simply became Coolum Beach Real Estate in 2013.
In 2014, after a long and successful career, Lorraine Cush retired and sold the business making way for the next generation of local owners to keep the name and reputation alive
2015
Since January 2015, under the new ownership and management of principal Cara Lane and leading sales agent Steve Lane, the agency has been completely modernised and been formally recognised as the leading agency in Coolum Beach through winning numerous accolades and awards.
2024
Our new directors, Kate Tomba, James Henley, and Matt Webster, have taken over Coolum Beach Real Estate. Since then, we have embraced numerous innovations and new technologies that are transforming the way we buy, sell, and manage properties.
2025
With a desire to expand, grow, and help more people across the Sunshine Coast, we made the decision to rebrand. A home is a haven, a town is a haven so the name is perfect. We love what we do, and we love helping our people.
